Tracy Macpherson, MD
Dr. Mac graduated from USC with a B.S. in Exercise Science. She completed medical school and her pediatric residency at MUSC – the last year as Co-Chief Resident. In 1990, she joined The Pediatric Clinic, where she has been practicing ever since. She and husband Brad Hutto have one son, who presently attends Vanderbilt University. The family remains active in the community, enjoys fitness and the great outdoors. On the weekends, the family loves to backpack and travel. |

Ben C. Pendarvis, Jr., MD
Dr. Ben Pendarvis attended medical school at MUSC in Charleston, SC and after completing Pediatric Residency and USAF tour of duty came to Orangeburg. He was here in 1972 when The Pediatric Clinic opened its doors and has the privilege of being involved in the healthcare of almost four generations of families. He now serves patients several days a week at the clinic. |

Karen Connelly, MD
Dr. Connelly is a native of Orangeburg. She attended College of Charleston then MUSC. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at MUSC; her third year was as Co-Chief Resident. In 1992 she joined the medical staff at The Pediatric Clinic. She is married to Wes Connelly and has two children. The four are all long members of the Northside Baptist Church. The Connelly family enjoys sports, country living, and medical mission trips. |

Shannon Dennis, C-PNP
Shannon Dennis was born and raised in Chapin, SC. After high school, she attended MUSC and received her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing, specializing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. After graduation, she joined TPC in September, 2010. She is married to Edens Dennis and they just had their first child February 8. They enjoy spending time with family and friends. She looks forward to serving Orangeburg for many years to come.
Janine Brenton, C-PNP Janine was born in Michigan and lived there until she graduated from Mercy College of Detroit in 1982 with her BSN. She then joined the Navy and retired after 20 years of Honorable Service. She graduated from Emory University with an MSN as a C-PNP in 1995. She and her husband live in Ladson; she has two adult daughters. Janine enjoys being active at Holy Cross – her church, biking, riding on the back of her husband’s motorcycle and camping. She says she “is excited about joining the TPC team, woking with the amazing staff, and meeting the people of Orangeburg. She joined us in 2012. |

Joy Sandifer, LPNJoy graduated from Edisto High School in 1991 and went on to obtain a nursing degree from OC-Technical College.She lives in Neeses with her husband Chris and their son. In 1992, Joy joined the nursing staff of The Pediatric Clinic
Leslie Chavis, CMA (AAMA)
Leslie was born and raised in Norway, SC, and joined The Pediatric Clinic staff in 2006. She earned a diploma in Medical Office Assisting from OC-Technical College. She has one son, Owen and attends St. John’s United Methodist Church. |

Pam Smoak, LPN
Pam graduated from Edisto High School in 1988, attended Baptist College for 2 years where she both studied and played volleyball and softball. She graduated from OC-Technical in 1995 with a practical nursing degree. Pam has been employed with The Pediatric Clinic since 2007. She is married and has two children. She enjoys playing softball, volleyball, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. |

Karen Spurlin, RN
Karen is an Orangeburg native and graduate of the 1981 class of Wade Hampton Academy. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from USC. She has been employed with The Pediatric Clinic since 2009. She has two daughters and they are members of the Cornerstone Community Church.
Frances Weaver, RN
Frances graduated from Orangeburg School of Nursing. She worked for two years at Orangeburg Regional Hospital in the ICU department before joining The Pediatric Clinic. She has been employed at The Pediatric Clinic since it was founded in 1972. She is married and has two chilren and two grandchildren. |

Katie Fogle, LPC
Katie is our Psychotherapist, and joined The Pediatric Clinic staff in 2006. She received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Charleston Southern. She then studied at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where she earned a Masters in Religious Education. While teaching school she studied counseling and became a Licensed Professional Counselor. Katie is married to rural mail carrier and farmer Dwain Fogle. Together they have four children. |

Ann Hawkins, MLT
Ann has been a member of our staff since 2008, and is a graduate of Bowman Academy and Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College. She and her family in Orangeburg County. Ann has been a member of our medical staff since 2008 |

Denise Fleming, Office Manager Denise is a native of Orangeburg. She graduated from Orangeburg Wilkinson High School and attended Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College. She has 25 years of experience in the medical field. She now resides in St.Matthews with her husband and two children. She is very involved in her community including church, Relay for Life, and tRMC Breast Cancer Foundation. She has also served six years for the Junior Service League of Orangeburg. Her spare time is spent with family and helping with school events. She joined the TPC team in 2012.
Robin Chavis, Insurance Manager
Robin has been a hard-working member of our staff since 1992. She is a graduate of Hunter Kinard High School and Cope Vocational School as a Licensed Cosmetologist and Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College. She is married to Thomas Chavis and they have one son. They live in the Bolentown community amongst family farms. |

Becky Chavis, Customer Service
Becky graduated from North High School in 2004 and Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College in 2006 from the MOA program. She was raised in Neeses and currently lives there with her husband Matt and son. She enjoys spending time with her family and shopping. She has been employed at the Pediatric Clinic since February 2007. |

Ameia Proveaux, Billing and Insurance
In 2003, Ameia joined The Pediatric Clinic staff. She was born and raised in Orangeburg County, and now lives in Cope with her husband, Brandon, and son. She enjoys the outdoors, trips to the mountains and spending time with her family. |

Tammy Reeves, Customer Service
Tammy joined our customer service staff in 2009 and was born and raised in Orangeburg County. She graduated from Branchville High School in 1989. She received a diploma in Medical Claims and Billing in 2008. She resides in Dorchester County with her husband, Scott and one son. She has a grown daughter and enjoys spending time with her family and camping. |

Laken was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia and raised in Orangeburg County. She graduated from Edisto High School in 2010 and currently resides in Cope with her parents and brother. She is currently enrolled at OC-Tech and plans on majoring in Nursing. |

Mary Biggerstaff , ReceptionistMary was born in Colleton County and raised in Dorchester County where she still resides. She has two adult children, and now her first grandbaby. She enjoys spending time with her family and trips to Nebraska to visit her daughter and grandson. |
